Duplicate records

I am wondering if some issues with duplicates can be solved:

  1. I have a column formatted as a lookup list, with which I can select names. Is there a way to leave out names from the lookup list that are already present in this column in existing row?

  2. If you work without a lookup list, is there a way to force unique entries in a column (not allow duplicate rows)?

  3. Is there a way to delete duplicates (and leave just one unique record)?
