It would be great if could have the option to hide saturday & sunday from the calendar view.

It would be ‘greater’ if we could (programmatically) define for any day to show or not show. I often need the opposite - only show Saturdays and Sundays, or only show Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays,
Another nice option would be to only show days that have an activity in one of the dates in the vertical column.
