Fixing stuck Coda page on iPhone

Hi Coda Community,

My team and I have published a website using Coda, and everything is working smoothly except for one page that won’t run on an iPhone.

The page has a lot of text, tables, and images; it manages to run on much older Android phones and iPads but not on the iPhone. Here’s the link to the page mentioned:

Aside from that page, everything on the site runs perfectly fine on all devices.
Here’s the link to the homepage: https://www.repairthailand.org/

We have tested opening the page on both Chrome and Safari on the iPhone, but none of it works. Please see the image below for more information.

I’m not sure if there are any settings we can check or things we can do to mitigate this or if it is a compatibility issue between Coda and iOS.

Any advice is appreciated!

Thank you.

We have experienced problems with our docs on iPhones for years now - in particular on the larger docs (they fail). As far as I know there is no fix for this problem.

We have a (large) doc that we use as an app and for mobile use, we have bought extra android devices (specifically OnePlus 7 (different model 7’s)). We use them either with a sim card or wifi from a dongle or a hotspot form another phone or whatever wifi is available. So far, it has always worked.

From what I understand this has to do with the memory allocation on iPhones and I heard it might change on android some day as well, but for now, it works for us. If we have to change to tablets some day, we will, but I hope it keeps on working the way it does now.

Hi there,

Thank you for sharing and for the tips. It’s good to know that this is not an isolated case.

I hope the situation improves for iPhone users in the future. We publish the site to the public, so we hope more people can access it.

Thanks again, and have a good day.
