Forms Bug (Safari issue)

Hello,

I’ve been using a published form that I’ve embedded into my website to collect information from users. I’m running into an issue when users who fill out the form in Safari… when they click submit, the submit button grays out, but their information doesn’t submit. It works just fine in Opera, Chrome, and Firefox.

Thanks!

We’re running into this too. Our web guy says the issue is a default privacy setting in Safari for MacOS. Would love to know if anyone has figured out a way around this.

Hi @Jesse_Ladner and @Spirit_Guides_Info,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are aware of this issue and working on a long term solution. Unfortunately, Safari does have a strict privacy policy for third party cookies, which is the root cause of this complication.

In the short term, users can prevent this issue by going to their Safari app, clicking Preferences > Privacy, and deselecting Prevent cross-site tracking.

If the user turns this off, it will allow them to submit an embedded Coda form from Safari. Additionally, you can use the form URL to redirect users to the form webpage and submit the form from there. Safari users are able to submit forms via the direct URL. We will follow up when we have a more sustainable solution.

Thank you!
Nicole
