Is there a way to adjust the “From” name when using the gmail pack? The name displayed in the email ultimately received by the recipient is just a text version of the email address itself.
So in my case, the email address is user-research@emailaddress.com so the recipient sees in the from field “user-research”. This isn’t working for us.
is it only to this specific email or other emails as well?
i think it may just be that specific email as ive checked my gmail pack and in the From column there is option for Name or Email. An example is the Name says “Airtable” and the email says “no-reply@airtable.com”. please see screenshots.
Thank you for checking, Melanie! It doesn’t seem to matter who or what I put in the “From” field in the pack settings; it’s setting the From display name as the email address.
I’ve also noticed that even when I use the From (optional) field and try to override it with an account I do have permission to send from, it doesn’t change it. In this example I’m trying to use admin@ but switch to chris@ which I have permission to send from, but either way, name isn’t shown in the actual From field, I’ve tried Chris Kenworthy chris@domain.com like you’d expect it to be formatted in the from line as well, but no dice. Same issue @Melanie_Teh is having it looks like.
