I find the current way of showing groups in their own columns really unefficient in terms of real estate. I think airtable and notion’s approach is a bit more efficient with their expandable rows. It would be great if it could be a doc / page / view / user level setting. What is the general idea opinion about this idea?
I agree too. If much for grouping and subgrouping, causes column waste of real estate. In additional comparison, Excel Pivot Table also has option for grouping via row line.
