How to make a date column when a status changes?

I am wondering if there is a way to have a date column appear with the date when my status column changes only from “active” to “inactive”?

You cannot create a column on command, this means you have to work with what you already created, something like :

Alternatively you could use a button to change the status and set the timestamp simultaneously.
