If link can embed

I feel like an idiot–this functionality seems like such a no-brainer to me, so I’m not sure if maybe it’s there and I’m somehow missing it…but…

When displaying web sites in card or embed view, I reasonably often get something like this:

Which is…honestly kinda ugly.

I could, of course, force embeds, but that opens up a whole different can of worms.

Is there some kind of way to check if a link is going to show the “can’t embed”, so that I can have a backup display format, e.g. “show a card if possible but if not then show the title”?

(Bonus points if it’s a full-on formula-usable thing, not just UI…so I could, for example, create my own link card template, but only if the native one doesn’t work.)
