Import MS Word table into Coda

Doesn’t work well for me. Suggestions?
I tried pasting it in excel first and that seems to work, although I do have one column that has embedded pictures that don’t move nicely to Excel.

Yes, it seems hit or miss. Works partway, then breaks. Then trying to paste a few more rows in at a time also works partway, then stops, and coda randomly sets up a new table when you paste. A new blank table.

On a related note, is there a way to merge two tables?

@Rezwan_Razani,

I’ve had to merge two tables as a result of some mess-ups by users.
I found this works…

Make button that reads rows from one of the tables and adds them to the other table.
Make a copy of the document first, in case you make a mistake in your code.

The code is something like…

Obviously, you replace the names of the tables and columns as appropriate and the column names and types of both tables need to match.

@Bryan_deSilva it is somewhat challenging when copying over a table from Word, and your process of entering it into Excel is a great work around. We don’t have. solution for this yet, but I think if you add a post/request to the Suggestion Box that would get some additional eyes on it for our team!
