Locking columns to certain users - or a bandaid

Hi there,

I’d love to lock certain columns to certain users or user levels. The contents of certain columns are very important that they remain intact/don’t get accidentally edited. The workaround I have for now is to create a new column that looks up the data from the row I want to protect - meaning they can’t just accidentally edit the other cells. This works for now, but I’m wondering if anyone has any alternative ways they’d do this. And also if this level of granular control is on the roadmap!

should have done this before I posted, but there’s a great workaround here as posted by @Paul_Danyliuk : Lock the doc so only designated user(s) can modify one field
