I have seen multiple threads on here from concerned users about the direction of coda. One of the things that leads me to believe Coda is failing is mobile is completely broken and there has been zero communication about fixing it. It’s hard to believe that a developer would allow their mobile accessibility to completely fail and say and do nothing about it. It has ruined codas usefulness for me, and I have put all my plans for expanding coda on hold.
Beyond that there is no road map, no sense of direction or what coda is focused on in the future. Are they all in secrecy mode trying to finish up a major update? Or are they winding down development because they are becoming insolvent? The more our calls for communication are ignored, the more we will let our imaginations run wild and set the narrative for you. Because of this uncertainty I’m slowly trying to find coda alternatives and preparing myself to replace it completely.
At some point the devs need to come out of their hidey hole and address these concerns. Why is mobile broken? When will it be fixed? What’s the plan for the new year? What features should we expect? Can we get some proof of life? Blink twice if coda is losing money…
