Really nice article @Wilson_Silva! I’m very impressed with your templates.

I just wanted to follow up with two questions:

  1. Do you have any documents that have more than a few thousand rows? How are you finding performance?
  2. Are you managing all inventory actions within Coda or are you using a separate inventory control application?

  1. Yes, my record was a document with over 10,000 rows in one tab. For this particular doc, it took a while for the system to calculate all the formulas. But after the calculation was completed, I was able to use the doc without any issues. There are some tricks to increase the overall performance, like hiding the columns that you are not using and creating views of the tables in a different section.

  2. It depends on the doc. For the doc “Guide to Adding New Shopify Products,” I was using the Shopify Pack in Coda to create the inventory level direct on Shopify. For the other docs, I was using a .csv file that I exported manually from the system to the Coda doc (because I created the docs before the Shopify pack was available).
