For pack demos, I wanted the ability to quickly obfuscate my real data.
While the Fake Data Magic pack generates fake data, for this use case, I want my obfuscated data to look VERY similar to my real data.
Quite simply, this pack generates dates, numbers that are in the same ballpark as the original data. And for alphanumeric, it generates similar formatted data (e.g., Invoice βA-123-45-Xβ becomes βB-782-12-Yβ)
I know this is 100% doable with native Coda formulas, but I like the convenience of simple named formulas.

Coda really needs to hurry up with the single page sharing and doc locking. This is the crazy stuff people are resorting to!

Actually, the use case for this is if you want to show placeholder data that mimics the real data (for demos or presentations). Itβs not really meant to be a security pack.
Oops misunderstood. So does it randomize your content for pages you choose?

USE CASE: You want to demo a finance reporting dashboard you built in Coda. You can use this pack to show data that is very close to the real data (rather than generating completely unrealistic random numbers).
Here a demo that shows how it works: DEMO: Hide Sensitive Data [Sensitive Data Magic]
