I’ve written about many of the Packs I’ve created that do not use OpenAI at all. The incentive to avoid GPT was performance and reliability.
I’ve also suggested Coda AI become LLM-agnostic, again, mostly driven by performance and a little by inferencing costs.
Now there may be another reason.

We’re living in a brave new world. We had the recording industry fighting the internet and then moving onto it, then we had the motion picture industry fighting the internet, and then joining it.
Now the battle about legal rights have leveled up…

This is why I have been pro-Google PaLM 2; it took longer to build out, but they factored in safety, security, and content rights. They may ultimately eat everyone’s lunch.
