Hi community
is it possible to use the Gmail Coda pack to do this?
- Every morning, send an email to a list of people asking them to do something.
- Set an automation for three hours later to send reminder emails; logic check to see if they haven’t completed the task. If they have, send a “thank you” email.
Is it possible to send that second email as a threaded message with the first one?
If not, I could see a workaround that involves a second email template with a FORMAT() variable. This variable would be the content of the first email, for reference.
But prefer the threaded option!
Thanks for any guidance

Bumping this request as I’ve run into the same issue. The Thread ID option in the pack settings adds a sent email to the sender thread. But if the email is a reply, it’s not threading for the recipient.
Scenario
- Client sends me an email
- I pull the client email into Coda via the Gmail pack
- I reply using the “Send Email” button in Coda, adding the Thread ID
- In my Gmail account, the reply is added to the thread
- In the client’s Gmail account, the reply appears as a new email, disconnected from their original email from step 1.
Any thoughts? @Scott_Collier-Weir ?
Woah really? Didn’t realize that. Let me take a look
