SharePoint Breaks Published Coda Links – “@” Becomes “%40”

Hi everyone,

Whenever I paste a published Coda link into a Microsoft web space (OneNote, a SharePoint page, Outlook on the web, etc.), SharePoint auto-replaces the “@” with “%40”:

Original: https://coda.io/@myteam/project-dashboard
SharePoint: https://coda.io/%40myteam/project-dashboard

The rewritten URL throws a 404, so the link became invalid.

Has anyone found a clean workaround that doesn’t rely on URL shorteners?
Or, Coda team: could you adjust published links to avoid “@” so they stay SharePoint-safe?

All ideas welcome thanks!

Stefan

I don’t have a clue, but I can’t reproduce it in outlook, outlook online, onenote and onenote online. I am using Chrome, but also checked MS Edge.

It makes me wonder if it is something in your setup?

Greetings, Joost

It seems like this is normal behaviour of Sharepoint according to this article and a common problem also with other websites: Why does Sharepoint change the link urls of quicklinks after page is published? - Microsoft Q&A
