Show Hidden Columns available on Published doc

I’ve published my doc and have a beautiful card-view for my users. Ideally the cards would not be clickable, but when they do click on them it shows the columns per the view set for that modal. I can go in and hide all of the columns which makes the modal blank, however the ‘Show Hidden Columns’ object is there which gives the user access to everything in the table!

This is the opposite of what we want for a published document. Am I missing something here?

In the settings (I think specifically edit detail view) there is a setting to hide the button to not reveal the hidden columns
