Trying to draw down information that matches two columns

I’m new to Coda and not sure if i’m trying to do quite a complicated formula, or just missing something obvious. This is a staff database. I want their records to be automatically updated when I enter a training record. See table for Training Records:

This table I select the Name of training, fill in when it was done, the expiry is then automatically filled in, I then upload the written record, and then select who was in attendance. Attendees is selected from another table that has all staff personal details on it.

What I want it to then do, is fill in the Date of expiry on another table automatically.

On the next table the first column will have all the names of staff.

Then the next column will say Safeguard Expiry. I would like that to match the attendee with the Safeguarding training record and display the expiry from that record.

I’ve been trying this over and over again, and just can’t manage it. Once I’ve got this done, hopefully I should be able to replicate this with other expirys of other types of training.

Thanks in advance

David Robinson, it will be much easier for the community to understand and assist of you share the doc with the community.

Sorry, like i said i’m new here. Does this link help? The whole thing is still in it’s first stages of being built. The key area to look at is the page “Essential Training”.

I think this (copy)doc has the formulas you are looking for:

Unfortunately that doesn’t quite do the job. That puts any expiry date into the Safeguarding Expiry Date. So you’ll see Manual Handling Training - Expiry Dates in there too.

I’ve added in a third column, for Manual Handling Training Expiry, so I’d be looking to have the right expiry in the right column. Hope this makes sense.

Thank you for trying to help me.

Nevermind I think I cracked it. Thanks for your help, I couldn’t have done it without you. I took your formula and added another filter. It worked. Thanks very much, really appreciate it.
