The outrage about the new search functionalities made me think about it a bit deeper. The more users you have on a workspace, the more content will be generated and the more crucial it is to have a useful search functionality, so it seems obvious that this feature is mainly directed at enterprise customers.
I have the feeling that in the community we are mostly a bunch of lone wolves and a few small agencies, not many enterprise users, and therefore a small percentage of the total revenue. I might be wrong though, so I would like to find out!
Also how small are we compared to the rest? Are we a 0.1%, 1% or 10% of the total?
Of course such a passionate group of power-users has much more value for Coda that only the percentage of revenue we represent, but knowing this would give us a bit more context on why some things are prioritized and others not.
So maybe if a few of us share how much revenue we generate for Coda we can extrapolate and get an approximate idea? If you convinced the company you work at, customers or friends to become paying customers I would consider for this estimation that you generated the revenue.
I’ll start: I have a personal ‘Pro’ account and a ‘Team’ account at work with only 1 doc-maker. I’m trying to convince them to go ‘Enterprise’ but still a work in progress. So at the moment I represent only around 480 $/year.
What about you??
Pablo
Edit: Actually, this is a Coda community, let’s collect the results in a doc
