Ability to unlock page from the Modal detail popup view

I lock all my user-facing docs to minimize accidental edits. One time-consuming annoyance is when I go straight to a modal detail view of a row, I have to close the view first to unlock the doc if I want to make changes.

This can be especially cumbersome if coming from an external notification, like an email or slack notification, where it will send me directly to the detail view. If I close the view to unlock, I may not easily know which row to open again.

Being able to unlock while on the modal view would be a nice quality of life improvement.

Just want to add my vote for this as well! I have a doc I use daily where I constantly run into this issue.
