Looking into using Coda to organize interview data. To generate insights, we go through a process of “coding” where we highlight/note the different themes that emerge in each interview transcript.
In MS suite, you can comment in the doc, and then use a macro to extract both the comment and associated highlighted text to a chart. Walkthrough of process is here
Is there a way to do this in Coda? I’m not seeing a clean way to code themes, beyond the old-school highlighting with different colors, and then going through to copy/paste. (This wouldn’t work, since it would be both time-consuming, and since you can only highlight one color at a time, prevent coding the same text where it shows up under multiple themes.)
