This one’s pretty basic - the Detail display is really handy for some of the docs we use at work, but the inability to add conditional formatting to the overview (item selection) column limits its usefulness
eg. (I can’t provide an example doc, so apologies for screenshots)

I can use cards to get a nice colourful overview of statuses:
But in details view you can’t replicate that colour coding:
NB: the description column can be cheated into helping here (somewhat) but is still pretty limited. Colours might work but presumedly only by using undocumented/unstable formatting functions.
(Example below just has a Notes column formula set to combine the Name and Status values)
