Conditional Formatting of Lookups

Hi all,

I’ve made a Kanban board using a view of a main table & a lookup from another table for one row.

Applying conditional formatting to the main table is fine, but I’ve not been able to apply any to the lookup (despite using the exact same steps as for formatting the main). Is it not possible to conditionally format the lookup at this stage, or am I missing a trick?
