Hey Folks, has anyone run into this issue. I rewired a big doc to use the new cross-docs, and it looks like it isn’t passing percentage values consistently. Seems to be doing it for some columns and not for others.
Update: also does not seem to be passing subsequent columns that rely on that percentage.
@Astha_Parmar
some quick questions to help troubleshoot -
are the percentage columns all formula/calculated? or some are and some are input/editable?
and is this all one direction (source to cross OR cross to source) or bi-directional when you are seeing this?
Cheers!
Mel
Thank you @Melanie_Teh !
All calculated. Even subsequent non-percentage columns that rely on these columns are not coming through. It does not seem to matter whether the sync is one-way or two-way.
I have tried changing formats (% → Number), tried appending the formulas with a ToNumber() to make sure it is resolving correctly. Nothing seems to work.
Actually spent better part of a week re-engineering the client docs to rely on the new cross-doc…feeling real pain right now.
i can imagine the pain youre feeling right now @Astha_Parmar

going based off your answers - its hard to pinpoint if its due to limitations of cross doc (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EOPGpAvpm0) or a bug (e.g. Cross-Table Bug in Coda: Incorrect Column Mapping with Images
source: Cross Doc Update — Coda. Why an updated pack doesn’t instantly… | by Christiaan Huizer | Medium)
it needs to be tested per individual scenario.
nevertheless, my suggestion would be to contact coda support directly (if you havent already) …
good luck and keep us updated when you get it sorted!
cheers!
