Delete column descriptions from template

Hi! I was working from a template and am 99% finished with my project.

But I can’t figure out how to remove the template’s descriptive text beneath each column title. In the screenshot of an expanded row, I want to delete the text that says, “Add a short title that describes what the content is.”

I can’t get my cursor into it, and don’t know how to edit it. Thanks so much.

Hi @Susannah_Locke and Welcome to the Community  !

If you click on the 3 dots () in the top right corner of your expanded row (next to the double arrow to enter fullscreen and the cross to close the expanded row), you should find an option to Edit layout

If you click on it, Coda will take you to the Details layout editor where should be able to remove that description

Once the “Add a short title that describes what the content is.” is removed, Coda will replace it by the default “placeholder” description which simply states “Add description” but it will not appear in your expanded row  (after clicking on Done at the top of page and you’re back to your table  )

Hope this helps :innocent: !

That worked perfectly. Thanks so much!

No problem @Susannah_Locke  !

I’m very glad to know this helped  !
