Hi Mary,
Your comment misses a “not” in one of the two parts, I assume the first? I also assume you favorites are the same as short cuts?
In Coda, there is a separate folder for shortcuts. Inside that folder, and every other folder, the docs can be sorted in different sequences (modified, created, viewed, as shown below.

Piet
Yes. I missed the “not.” I corrected it. And, yes. I made it even more confusing by not using the correct term.
Here’s what I’m saying:
On the top page - the landing page, the Shortcuts do not include shortcuts from subfolders.
Here’s my subfolder shortcuts that I want to appear everywhere.
But, at the HOME page, I have lost that set of shortcuts and only have these:
Thanks, clear now. It makes sense.
I suggest you post this in the “bug” section of the community.
Thanks for this @Piet_Strydom.
I’ll go ahead and move this over to the Bugs section.
After checking with the team, it looks like subpages are not docs. Shortcuts are different than starred pages. The difference is that one is starring a page for a doc and the other is starring a doc in a workspace. We do not have shortcuts that you can save to your workspace. Apologizes for any confusion here!
Ah - I missed the transition from doc to workspace…
Can you point me to a place where I can learn more about the distinctions you’re making here? Doc vs workspace vs subpages, and shortcuts vs starred pages?
This sentence isn’t getting me far enough: “The difference is that one is starring a page for a doc and the other is starring a doc in a workspace. We do not have shortcuts that you can save to your workspace.”
If I’m not mistaken () @Mary_Going , you could see things like this
:
Coda Account
* Level 1: Workspaces
* Level 2: Docs
* Level 2.1: Pages
* Level 2.1.1: Subpages
So,
Starred Docs
are shortcuts at the Workspace level
(i.e.: Level 1)Starred Pages & Subpages
are shortcuts at the Doc level
(i.e.: Level 2)My Shortcuts
in a Workspace
are the starred docs in that specific Workspace.
And the shortcuts you would find in All Docs
→ My Shortcuts
are all your Starred Docs
across all your Workspaces
@Pch - that structure is super helpful. Thank you!
That’s sweet !
And no problem ! I’m glad to know it helped
