There are often some questions about Coda’s lack of a folder structure.
Coda has several methods that are much better than a (hierarchical) structure. You can create a “King” document as Max from @Agile_Dynamics calls it,
OR you can make use of the Coda Pack called Coda Doc List.
This will create a table in a doc, which you can sort, filter, capture metadata, create views, each one gives you an order of magnitude better functionality than the older, static, hierarchical folder structure.
But the best way, is to re-imagine how you store your information. (This applies to where you use Coda like a wiki, hub, documentation tool or knowledge management system.)
In the Loom pasted below, I explain how I have used Coda to greatly reduce the number of folders and documents I use while working in an SAP environment. At the same time, I greatly reduce the redundancy of data by re-using data extensively. Obviously, this is a way that suits me, just about every person will have their own approach.
But, it’s just a ramble,
