Formula to edit filters in filter bar

Having the ability to setcontrolvalue() is a powerful tool that is often used to affect filters on tables. If we could have something like this that would allow us to change the filter bar settings via a button that would be great. I cannot tell you how many times a client will set their personal filters on a filter bar which they requested having a filter bar so they could change filters as needed but they seem to forget that they’ve set filters. If as a developer, I could have buttons that would set their filter bar, then I could give them an easy way to reset their filters on the filter bar or create preset filters on the filter bar rather than just affecting the entire table’s filter. I know there’s a little X that resets the filters, but my client seems to never be able to see that X nor remember what it does. Maybe she’s the exception, but I suspect there are others that could benefit from a function that would allow us to manipulate the filter bar for our clients so that they still have the flexibility of filtering and making changes.

And while we’re at it the filter bar is still missing features. For example. If I’m setting a regular filter by date, I have a lot more options than I do when using the filter bar with a date. Simple things like a default filter with the filter bar that looks for dates up to and including today cannot be done. That’s a common thing when making a to do list, I need to know what was due prior to today and through today that isn’t done yet. And having the ability to set a formula for a default value on the filter bar is also missing. Basically, anything one can do with a regular table filter should be available in the filter bar as a default condition. Yes, it can be changed by the client and maybe they can’t create formulas in the filter bar but as a default filter condition, a formula would be fantastic.

This X is invisible, indeed  Every couple of weeks I receive a call “Hey, Stefan, I used to see… and now it’s gone” - “Have you cleaned the filters?” -”I don’t know. How to do that?”

It also moves based on the screen size and how many items one is filtering by. Sometimes it’s to the left of the options area, sometimes it’s further to the left at the very end of the last filter item. I think that confuses some of my clients.
