I’m running into a problem with the Slack-Coda integration and would appreciate some guidance.
The issue is that my team members signed up for Slack using their personal email addresses. When we started using Coda, I created new email accounts under a custom domain, so their Coda accounts are linked to those new emails. However, the Slack-Coda integration doesn’t recognize that these users already have access to the docs in Coda. It keeps informing me that they don’t have access, even though they do—but under different email addresses.
I know one option is to have everyone update their Slack accounts to match their Coda emails, but I’d prefer to avoid this for now (though I’ll likely implement it for new team members). The bigger issue is that Coda keeps trying to invite users via their personal Slack emails, and as a result, people are accidentally ending up with two Coda accounts.
I’ve already set up a table in my Coda doc that links Slack users to their Coda accounts, but it’s still causing issues and rendering the pack more of a headache than an asset. To complicate things further, the person who set up this whole system has gone MIA, so I can’t ask them to fix it.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue, and if so, how did you resolve it? Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
