Hide/Show Fields in Layout by a Formula

Being able to hide and show different elements of a Layout based on a user’s input elsewhere would be a GAME CHANGER.

For example, say you have a Select field as a way for the user to provide feedback on how they heard about your company:

  • Newspaper
  • Email
  • Other

If the user selects “Other”, a previously hidden Text field appears next to it saying “Please specify:”

This sort of functionality would allow for Layouts to support a broad range of topics without requiring that all fields used to capture information about all topics is present at all times. Only the relevant items would be shown at any one time and help keep the Layout as simple as possible.
