Hello! There have been a couple PMs that have been asking me about replicating some Smartsheet features over to Coda, especially the ones in the title.

" Edit a predecessor relationship" section in this article

They use it extensively for project management so they were wondering about this. Yes, you can turn off “Strict enforcement” and do it manually but when a project has 10+ deliverables, that’s 10+ extra clicks that need to be done.

Like I often say, the magic about Coda is that it is so flexible that you can build yourself many of the features you see in other tools, after you’ve gained a bit of experience.

I had worked on this template with MasterClass which shows project dependencies as well. Their actual doc has a custom predecessor relationship that wasn’t captured in the default SF/FS/SS/FF options in Smartsheet.
