I have a master sheet that i’m breaking down to geographic specific views using filter. Thecol master I use has 16 columns, they only need 5 of those. I have to hide the same columns for every view I create (going to eventually need dozens of views), reorder them and rearrange the detail view layout each time. Copying the layout does what exactly? There’s no option to paste it on the other views. Any one have a procedure? There’s nothing in the documentation
Hello Brian,
I don’t know if you can copy the column layout after the view is created. I suggest copying the view where you have already hidden all columns and pasting it where you want. Coda will prompt if you want to duplicate the table (with new data) or create a connected view. It will keep the layout of the view/table that you copied. You will have to adjust the filter after that.
If your intention is to make one page for each view, you can just duplicate the page. In the same way, Coda will prompt you if you want to duplicate or connect a view. In this way, you can do something “semi-automatic”: you can create a kind of formula to set up the filters, and when clicking on the button, the formula will duplicate the page and set up the filter. This could be a little tricky, and you will need some helper tables/formulas.
Best regards,
