Issue with Switchif Canva Formula

Hello,

I’m trying to switch a meeting note template in the Canva based on 2 conditions:

  1. Meeting Type
  2. Project Type

I am adding the values to the table via a button, but when I use the formula to include Meeting Type AND Project Type, it doesn’t work. Is it my formula? I have a workaround, but … I want to get this to work.

Table:

Formula:

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @Cloud_Posse and welcome to the Coda-Community!

I think i had the same situation a few days ago.
I ended up copying the formula into the button that creates the row…
Is that a solution for you?

Jannis

@Jannis thanks for the reply! I have a button to add all the other values, but I couldn’t find a way to call the template in the Notes column in the button. Is there a way to do that?

Hi @Cloud_Posse,

try to copy the entire formula from the first place

to your new formula editor in the button.

If that doesn’t work somehow, you can use a simple workaround by creating a table, pasting the template in and referencing it in the formula.

Hope that helps.
Feel free to ask if you have any more questions.

If you don’t get it running, you can also share your doc and i will make the change so it works.

thanks! I got it working by putting it in a table, its just annoying since if you make edits to the template, it doesn’t get automatically updated in the table

Okay :+1:

Why dont you just use the table as your main and single source instead of having a page and a doc? Then you don’t have to make every change twice.

Jannis

Yup! That’s what I concluded, thanks again for the help!

No problem,

Sincerely
Jannis
