I’m in need of assistance with an onboarding and offboarding template in Coda. However, when I modify the onboarding buddy, the email notifications cease to function. Can you provide guidance on resolving this issue?

I apologize for the delay in responding. I encountered an issue while attempting to add a new hire’s name to the column, as it displayed as blank. Furthermore, when initiating the process to send a welcome email to the user, I noticed that the “send mail” button was not highlighted.

We all need some time off once in a while.
I went back to your first message and you wrote about an a template and it may help to tell us which one you used, so we can have a look.
Based on your screenshot only I am afraid I cannot help you. Nevertheless, my guess is that you need to install your own Gmail pack, go into the button replace the existing gmail logic with your own reference.
once you share the doc (or a copy of it) we can have a closer look.

I am not familiar with these templates, this is actually the first time I see this one, and with what I see, I am afraid this is not my cup of tea. There is too much going on to my liking. Anyway, you should check if the user in the column onboarding buddy is a user with access to the doc, because it takes the property email of this user. That is all I can say
