Upload custom icons for sections

Wholeheartedly agree. We would like to be able to use our agency logo for public docs, for example, and use custom icons to visually associate related docs, for another example.

If not customization, at least diversity in current human icons.

is there any updates on this ?
I really think that would be great. I have customers asking if we can put logo, … for docs, pages,…

New Coda user here!

Just beginning to set up my docs. And I’m one of those people who likes to start things by setting the tone and can get (admittedly, sometimes a bit too) particular about details like the right titles, the “perfect” icons etc. So I was kind of surprised and subsequently a little disappointed to realize there was no way to upload your own, or even link to external icons.

I wholeheartedly subscribe to earlier arguments like the importance of consistency across different platforms, the value of visually linking/distinguishing docs and the fun of customization being an integral part of the user experience.

The latter especially since I expect many users land on Coda for reasons similar to mine: After reluctantly grappling with various, segregated tools that never quite fit their specific needs, they’ve finally decided to build themselves a singular environment that fully caters to them. And having that environment look the way you want it to goes a long way towards making it feel like “home”.

So anyway long story short, +1 for custom icons

+1 and for sure to this request! While I do love some stock icons :slightly_smiling_face: , the ability to add customs would really make the organizational look of the pages much more “professional”.

+1 from me too. Custom icons are very useful.

+1 this would solve a lot of my issues!

This has been going on for two years… Notion’s had it baked in since the get go… why hasn’t Coda done anything about this???

Use case: Our style guide has custom drawn icons and we are required to use them for projects. Yet, there is ZERO place to upload/link to a non-stock icon. Why not???

It’s CLEAR users want/need it. Come on Coda, stop dragging your feet!!!

+1 — This is one of Notion’s most notable advantages to be sure.

Thanks so much @Jean_Pierre_Traets. I certainly appreciate Coda’s advanced capabilities that Notion lacks. They’re both profoundly useful and gratifying apps.

+1 from me too!, It is not a blocker but it would put a smile on our face if it was implemented
