Year and Multi-Year options for Calendar views

I’m trying to set up year and multi-year views for the calendar. Something like this, from teamup:

Is there any prospect of something like this being implemented in the future, or has anyone found a way to achieve this? I’ve tried various workarounds, but nothing really fits the bill.
