I often find myself confused when trying to close a control selector or a formula box. For example if I have a lookup control list open, If I click onto another object on a Page (e.g. a table, or another control), it will close the control list, but if I click on blank parts of the page it stays open. This seems counterintuitive and often there isn’t an obvious consistent way to move away from an active editing popup. This happens in various scenarios, e.g. in the formula editor of a button action.
It would be great if clicking anywhere other than the active popup editor would close the popup and return focus to the previous scope.
