CODA current software Version

Is there a link to see what version of CODA is currently in? My company has to do software validation for certain industry standards, and one of the requirements is the version (rev) of software being used during production of product.

This is going to be interesting - What does “version” mean?

Coda, like all SaaS products, are continuously updated, both with bug fixes and new features.

What is the purpose of knowing the software version?

To comply with the requirements of the industry in which he is active. I don’t think he made up the requirement just to get some attention. We don’t have to agree, we don’t have to like it…

In any open document, under the little settings wheel, you can find “Statistics”. For me it shows a version number and I assume it is a Coda version - only time will tell if it changes, but I would think so.
You can reach the statistics also by typing /statistics on any page.
Mine look like this:

I read his post.

Doesn’t prevent me from being curious what the underlying reason for the requirement his.

Hey @Piet_Strydom ,

Sure you may be curious, but I think your reaction wasn’t helpful for @Thomas_Barcuch (but I might be wrong, I have been wrong about many things many times).

If you want to start a discussion about the purpose of version control and about what a software version really is, you should start a new topic. At least, that’s my opinion. That way, the thread stays on-topic and is more relevant for people searching for answers to the same or similar questions.

Greetings,
Joost
PS: I apologize to everyone for being off-topic myself…

The standard is based on ISO 13485 Medical. It requires that any software used in manufacturing must be listed and show validation. Which is basically risk level (exposure to the actual build–low, medium, high) and the build number currently in use at time of any audit. It does not care about hot fixes, bug fixes etc., only the actual release build. IE, Windows 10 (or 11). It does not care about the many fixes that may come after the initial release. I just need the last MAJOR release number, not the ongoing constant minor updates.

Thanks for sharing - interesting.

WE have to log down to the email service, so yeah, fun times for me tracking and creating our log of sorts.
