Copy column settings

Yes, I know there are a couple topics about this. So far the answers I’ve seen are all assuming that the data being used is the same between the two tables.

But I want to be able to copy a column–or rather, column settings–like a template.

For example:

I have a template I use for relation columns where I can randomize the color/format.

There have been multiple times when I start creating a table, create a select list, then as I work I decide it should be a relation column.

But now I need this template.

So I bring it in…

Except now I can either recreate these columns in my original table, or I can recreate the original table in my template.

OR

And the issue isn’t so much the data, as I can get that with a button (though the button also takes a few minutes to set up). It’s the columns themselves and their setup. Like, no, if I have two or three columns and a single relation, as in this example, it doesn’t take all that long to transfer it over (though I’ve just tested it. Transferring the template columns to the HP Families table took about 2.5 mins). But what if you have a table and a template that have more columns/more complicated columns? Or a super-complex Relation setup?

I’d love to be able to just grab the relevant columns from the template (or the original table) and copy-paste.
