Cross domain sharing is prohibited when sharing with a gmail user

Hey folks,
My coda account is with my gmail account and I suddenly can’t share with other gmail accounts.
This used to work, right? I’m not crazy. I can’t share a workspace or file

Hi,

I am encountering a similar error, where sharing documents, folders and workspaces with other gmail addresses result in the error “Cross domain sharing is prohibited”.

Would appreciate any help on the above matter!

Getting the same issue with gmail and also non gmail email addresses.

I am also hitting a You’ve reached your daily limit of doc shares. when I try to make the document available for everyone with the link.

I am also trying to send invitations of my workspace, docs, etc. But when I try to make that I have the same error

Getting the same issue! Can’t invite any users after spending a bunch of time creating the documents. If this is a limitation of the free plan it should be explained, otherwise it smells false advertisement and click’n’bait!
Coda team, please respond.

Could it possibly be that your doc has grown to large for your free account:

You can check the statistics of your doc under Document and Settings and see something like this:

Thanks for the suggestion, but not a chance. This is on a new doc.

I also get the same error as @Febre_van_der_Merwe_Xactco with a new doc that I want to share with a link

Did you check with support (the question mark bottom right in your doc? They can see and find things that are hidden for us. Try to explain as good as you can what is going on - and more than likely they can tell you what is going on.

Once they do, please share the result with us, because I would like to know what is happening.

Support solved it. Here is their reply:

Hi Vlad, thanks for reaching out! We have a flag in our system for increased security, and looks like your account was accidentally flagged. I’ve marked yours as safe so you’re set to share, and the issue should not reoccur. Let us know if it works now.

I also let them know about this topic thread and that others face the issue.

So anyone else getting this error, Coda support is the only one that can help.

Thank you @Vlad_M for sharing it here! I have the same issue. I have created a new account, started a new project and tried to share it, but I got this message saying that cross domain sharing is prohibited. I contacted the support team but have not yet heard from them. This is very annoying!

Hi everyone. I have heard back from Coda’s support team and the problem was solved. Thank you.

Similar to what @Vlad_M posted, here is what I got from them:

So,as mentioned, anyone else getting this error, Coda support is the only one that can help.
