I use the Multi Select control on a lot of places, but it can get confusing really quick, especially if there are a lot of items to choose from. In the top part of the control, you get a list of all the items selected, but when the selection is “select all”, that can take up a lot of space. I can see where this might be usefull at some places, but maybe there can be an extra design option to show or hide this top portion:
