I love the feature that shows more information about the items in a relation column when you hover over it! Unfortunately, the hover tooltip uses the the viewed columns in the base table.
My understanding is that it is best practice to keep the base table pure with no formatting and all columns viewed. With this in mind, would it be possible to add a relation column settings to select which view of the table the tooltip items will be based on?
This would allow us to:
- Keep our base table pure,
- Allow us to configure the tooltip view by configuring a view of the related table,
- Hide data that is meant to be hidden,
- Keep best practices with our table management, AND
- Have our cake and eat it, too!
